The Department related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment & Forests was held on 1st April 2000 to consider the detailed Demand for Grants in respect of the Department for 2000-2001.

The Consultative Committee of Parliament for the Ministry of Science & Technology and other Science Departments including Department of Ocean Development met on 14th July 2000 and reviewed the implementation of the Department's scientific programmes.

Between April 2000 and December 2000, two Starred Questions and thirty four Unstarred Questions were answered in the Parliament.
